“Women In Praise” is a “Concept” project developed to give women from the Spirit of Praise Choir an opportunity to join forces with their multi musical backgrounds. Women In Praise ladies aim to bring life to the gospel, with soaring emotion. If you want something fresh with a bit of diversity, then Women In Praise Albums are the go to.

These albums highlight their ability to convey transparency, authenticity and vulnerability with their breathtaking vocal. Albums include Women In Praise Vol.1 – a compilation of the “Live” performances of Female artist in Spirit of Praise , Women In Praise Vol.2 – a studio production with 4 ladies from the Choir that featured Vicky and Zaza  and Women In Praise Vol.3 – After auditions held in Swaziland, a new artist (Nothando) joined Women in Praise and a new “Live” album was recorded in Swaziland that featured Zaza. This album has reached Platinum status as well as a nomination for Crown and SAMA awards.

Women in Praise has recently recorded another magnificent album  “ Women In Praise – Live In Johannesburg”. Recorded on Womens Day (9 August 2017) at the Lyric theatre, the new album features, Precious Mosotho , Thando Makhaphela , Lydia Molisa , (These ladies where part of the Spirit Of Praise choir as backing vocalists) and Princess Jodwana who’s fairly new to the group and took over from Nothando. It features songs that are written by the above mentioned young women like “Matla , Moya Waka, Musa Wakho, and All of You”. These ladies were honoured on this project to be under the leadership and mentored by Winnie Mashaba who featured in 2 songs in the album. This album has been well received amongst the gospel fans.

In 2019 Women In Praise Vol 5 was recorded in studio with the 2 new ladies (Thembi Mbonyane & Busisiwe Mvundle) joining this magnificent group.
